Grand Park Rangers
Something Grand To Grow On
The Grand Park Rangers Program is a family program that promotes stewardship of Grand Park among all ages through a multi-cultural, educational environmental and healthy living program where participants explore the park’s “world cultures-inspired” environment, while gaining awareness about health and fitness, and environmental protection. This includes gardening, water conservation education and outdoor adventures.
Participants actively become members as well as stewards of Grand Park by learning how to help protect and preserve the park’s green environment and natural assets; and by learning life-enriching skills through a hands-on collaborative approach to environmental stewardship, healthy living and civic stewardship.
Working with program partners and in collaboration with schools, community groups, governmental and non-profit agencies, parks, environmental, wellness and fitness organizations and cultural institutions, the Grand Park Rangers program provides hands-on educational programming to youth, seniors and families through three learning modules – each supporting and integrating the program’s guiding principles.
